STUNT DRIVING REVEALED

CONGRATULATIONS!

YOU JUST ARRIVED AT THE BEST PLACE ON THE PLANET TO LEARN THE HIDDEN ART OF

STUNT DRIVING

Take a glimpse into the underground world of high intensity driving

Psssssst. Don’t tell anyone what I’m about to tell you…

The world of stunt driving is secret. I don’t know why, but it is. Nothing is ever written about stunt drivers or stunt driving. It’s like this secret, hidden, high intensity world where only the driving elite have access. All you can do is watch the outcome, the stuff that made it through the editing process and was deemed good enough for you to see in the movie, or car commercial. Unless you are one of the few actual stunt drivers, you have never been able to have a real look into this secret world. Until now.

I’m blowing the whistle and letting you in on all the fun.

I started my stunt driving career in 1987. I had watched all the cool driving done in the movies but didn’t know anything about ‘professional driving’ at the time. When I was out driving, I just did what all my friends did. Which was, go as fast as I can, and scare the &%#* out of myself and any poor sap that happened to be in the passenger seat.

After I learned how to drive from a professional, I realized that I wasn’t even going that fast. I was overdriving my skill level on a consistent basis, but I was nowhere near as fast as I could have been. I didn’t know that I could have gone wayyyyy faster, and at the same time, been totally confident and not scared for my life. Until my friend showed me how the pros do it.

He showed me a few simple driving techniques and some tricks he picked up doing stunts and racing. Then I went out and practiced my ‘new way of driving.’

Almost overnight I went from slow and scared to fast and confident.

All of a sudden I knew the right way to do everything from down shifting, to knowing where to look, to cornering at mach 3. I learned that it’s a bunch of little things, special techniques, all stacked one on top of the other, that is the difference between amateur and professional.

Once I started to do everything the same way all the pros do it, I started to get better. I started to have a better ‘feel’ for what the car was doing, and I knew the ‘whys’ behind what it was doing. The more I practiced the more my speed and confidence grew.

Then we started to slide. Sideways at high speed. Well, actually, we started slow, or at least I did, but it wasn’t too long before I was sliding pretty fast too. We went out and practiced all the slides we’d need for our new careers. 45’s, 90’s, 180’s, 360’s forwards, backwards. We did it all! Over and over and over again.

After awhile we got good, really good, and we just kept practicing…

It was at that time that I made the decision that if I ever got good enough, and had proven myself as great stunt driver, that I’d write a book to help anyone who has a (somewhat insane) desire to slide a car at high speeds.

I vowed not to write it unless I was actually living what I wrote and had become one of the best out there…..There are just too many people out there who SAY they are experts, buy actually DON’T DO much of what they are preaching. They can talk the talk, but fall wayyyyy short when they try to walk the walk….I don’t know about you, but I just hate that stuff…

I couldn’t be that. If I can’t do it, and do it well, I’m not going to try to teach it to anyone else…..That decision was made in 1987….fast forward to today, 21 years later and I’ll tell you a little of what I’ve been doing in the meantime.

My stunt driving buddy in 1987 not only taught me how to spin a car, he also taught me all the professional tricks and techniques of high performance driving…So I took all that knowledge, practiced using those techniques for 6 months, spent a winter helping out a winter driving school, for nothing, and when spring came that year, they kept me on as an assistant driving instructor at Westwood raceway. I worked my way up to full time instructor before too long and in my second year, I ran all the courses with one other instructor.

We taught all kinds of driving. It was mostly about racing. 1,2, and 3 day courses with the 3 day being a race course that gave you your racing license at the end of it. We taught ‘anti terrorism’ driving to elite police units, and we had a skid car to teach how to control skids and slides. We also did driving events for car clubs. Like Porsche, Ferrari, Lotus, BMW. We even did a day to introduce the new suspension system for Rolls Royce!

Those were days of PURE BLISS! Lap after lap after lap, as fast as I could go, in some of worlds fastest and most exotic cars!

All this time I was still going out and stunt driving with my friend as much as I could….I didn’t know it at the time, but what I was doing was building an extremely strong ‘foundation of driving skills’ that I would use on every set I ever worked.

After a while of handing out resumes I started to get some work as a stunt performer. Most of the stunts I got in the beginning weren’t driving but some were. (As you know, in the stunt world you have to fall down A LOT before you get to drive.) I was lucky when I first started out that driving was such a focus in my life that I got many more opportunities to drive than most up and coming stunt performers do.

I kept teaching all kinds of extreme driving for the next 7 years until I got too busy with stunts, and I simply didn’t have the time for both.

I also started to race. Coming off of a shoulder injury, that kept me out of action for 14 months, I wanted to get back into ‘driving shape’ so I bought an ice racing car. Ice racing has got to be the best place to hone your car control skills. The reason is because the whole time you are racing, the car is trying to go sideways on you. You’re ALWAYS catching a slide, or inducing a slide. It’s probably the most pure fun you can have in a car.

I also did some road racing as well. I raced Toyota corollas when I was at the racing school, and then I bought a Datsun 240Z that had been completely blown out for the GT-2 class.

Now, I’m not telling you all of this to brag or impress you but to tell you a little of how I’ve come to be one of the best stunt drivers in the business and also that I have the all important background in teaching high performance driving. I believe it’s this unique combination of experiences, the teaching, racing, and stunt driving that allows me to put it all together and make it so easy for you to understand.

Which brings me back to book I’ve just written. Let me introduce, for the 1st time in the history of the world……

“THE SECRET ART OF STUNT DRIVING

all the insider tricks of driving at the edge”

I’ve taken all the tips, tricks, inside information, skills, observations, and mistakes I’ve either seen or made over the last 20 odd years, and distilled them all down into what is without a doubt the worlds best, easiest, most comprehensive, exclusive, and mind blowing way to learn not only stunt driving, but how to take any car to it’s extreme edge faster, and at the same time safer, and with more confidence than you have ever dreamed possible.

“It’s literally the best place on the planet to learn extreme driving.”

Anyone – anyone who reads this book will have an intimate understanding of extreme driving that only the worlds top professionals have had in the past. I’ve distilled everything down to only what works in the real world. There is absolutely NO FLUFF. Everything is the real deal that I have personally ‘battle tested’ on movie sets, car commercials, racetracks, ice race tracks, and the street for over 20 years.

I’ve given you all the secret ‘black belt’ driving techniques that only professionals are supposed to be able to use. WRONG! Everybody can use them, it’s just that nobody has ever taught them. Most driving instructors don’t even know these techniques, heck, most professional stunt performers don’t know a lot of this stuff!

In fact, I’ve written it with the thought that even if you’re already a professional stunt driver, you’ll learn something you didn’t know. It’s not that you can’t drive, it’s because you don’t have the background in teaching or racing that I do, so I’m able to explain WHY all the stuff that happens when a car is spinning or at the edge – happens. Like a friend of mine, who is one of the best stunt drivers out there, said after he read it.

“It was great! I knew HOW to do all that stuff, I just didn’t know WHY I did it.”

No matter how much you already know and how good a driver you are, it will give even you a deeper understanding of all that is going on when you are sliding or driving fast, which will, in turn, make you faster, as well as safer next time you’re on set ‘doin what you do.’

But all of that isn’t the BIGGEST OR THE BEST REASON to invest in this book. You see, all of the great insider information I give you in the book is going to – has to – make you a much safer driver, no matter where you are, how much experience you have, what you are driving, or what speed you are going.

When you are confronted on the road by something unexpected, you will be much better equipped to deal with it like a pro.

To be able to have a ‘collision’ not happen and only be a heart pounding ‘collision situation’ – is VASTLY DIFFERENT.

If the tricks and techniques you learn in this book only prevent you from having one collision that you would have had if you hadn’t got the book, it would make the few dollars you spend on the book seem laughable. But, of course, you and those you are closest to will probably be saved from many, many, collisions over the course of your driving life and you just can’t put a price on that.

So how much does this book cost anyway? Well, it’s priced so ANYONE can afford it. $34.97 for over 200 pages of ‘only to be found here’ information and with over 200 photographs that take you step by step through all of the slides and techniques, it’s a virtual ‘picture book of sliding.’

Here’s a small taste of what’s inside:

The 6 steps of sliding a 90 degree corner with ease.
    • The adrenaline filled joys of the 180.
    • How to put the 45 slide exactly where you want it.
    • Step by step through the reverse 180 or ‘moonshiners turn.’
    • The 7 crucial steps
    of spinning a seamless 360 – at 100 kmh!

As well as:

    • How to control the adrenaline rush of extreme driving.
    • How to find where your own personal ‘limit’ is, and how to expand it.
    • How to drive any car, at any time - to it’s maximum.
    • The secret tricks and techniques that only the professional stunt drivers know.
    • How you can beat a faster car and be #1 – regardless of the caliber of car!
    • What it takes to actually become a professional stunt driver.
    • How to come out of any spin or slide and end up exactly where you want to.
    • Mental tricks that allow you to drive at your maximum. And much, much, more…

Let’s look at the alternatives to getting this information in any other way.

There are stunt driving courses out there that range from $2000 to $4000 that will teach you the sliding part…

Then you could go to a 2 or 3 day racing school that will cost anywhere from $2000 to $8000 and that will teach you the high performance part…

The other alternative is to try and find a working stunt driver, that knows all of this stuff (there are only a handful), and convince them to personally teach you everything they know. (good luck)

BUT there is NOWHERE you can go to learn EVERYTHING that is explained in a way that is easy to understand and use.

Now think for a moment: What else do you THOUGHTLESSLY spend your money on that has no real benefit to you?

And how much does what we normally spend truly help us? How much of it would claim to be able to save our lives, and at the same time enhance the day to day fun factor?

Donuts, coffee, soft drinks, cigarettes, after-work "happy hour." Do these things really help us ‘drive the good life?’ Not at all. (Well, except for maybe the last one...)

What's more, just think of what we pay for our, computers, cell phones and all our technical gadgets - yet nothing in the world compares to the feeling we get by being truly confident as well as having way more fun in our car.
